Toshiba UK today announced two new additions to its laptop range – the Satellite and Satellite Pro C660. Both models are designed to offer outstanding reliability, solid performance and impressive value for money. The Satellite C660 delivers highly affordable home computing and a range of useful features, while office workers will benefit from the Windows 7 Professional operating system available on the Satellite Pro C660.
Keeping pace with today’s digital lifestyle
Both the Satellite C660 and Satellite Pro C660 feature all the essentials required for everyday computing tasks. Processors from Intel® and AMD® combine with the latest integrated graphics and up to 4GB RAM, allowing speedy performance and the ability to run multiple programs without a drop in performance. Hard drive capacities of up to 500GB also allows users to store hundreds of documents, photos, music and videos.
The Satellite C660 and the Satellite Pro C660 offer a stylish design equally suited for use in the home or at work. Both models feature a textured matt black finish that helps to reduce scratches and fingerprints, while a large keyboard, integrated 10-digit numeric keypad and touch pad with Multi-Touch Control provide a blend of comfort and usability.
The 39.6cm (15.6") TruBrite HD widescreen display is also perfectly suited to web browsing, high definition video or office documents and applications. Two stereo speakers also provide a rich audio experience, and the integrated web cam and microphone make face-to-face video conferences easy to set up.
Ready to start right away
Both the Satellite and Satellite Pro C660 are equipped with a selection of interfaces including two USB 2.0 ports, Wireless LAN, Fast Ethernet LAN and a Multi-Card Reader. Users can also benefit from pre-installed software suites including Microsoft® Office Starter 2010, offering office productivity features and Nero® 9 Essentials to rip, burn and copy files to DVD. The Satellite and Satellite Pro C660 also features exclusive software like Toshiba Media Controller that makes content streaming to DLNA® capable devices easy.
Toshiba’s LifeSpace software also makes the most of the Windows 7 operating system with two smart, useful features that help to organise files and folders. ‘Bulletin Board’ creates a virtual pin-board for quickly placing and accessing favourite files, reminders, pictures or links. ‘ReelTime’ provides a visual timeline of recently-accessed files and folders – helping users access the files they need, quickly and efficiently.
