To open BBC iPlayer on your Toshiba HD TV, all you need to do is tap the Menu button on your remote control, then use the directional keys to scroll sideways to highlight and click on the option labelled Connected TV.
On the menu that pops up, you’ll now see the built-in BBC iPlayer app, along with Toshiba Places and the YouTube app, so just tap upwards, then click to the right and tap OK to select and open iPlayer on your Toshiba HD TV.
By default you’ll see the app’s Home page, which lets you browse content using three options – Highlights, Last Played and Just In – giving you easy access to the latest additions to iPlayer, as well as your favourite shows.
If you want to browse by TV or radio shows only, then you can navigate to the top of the screen and do so with a couple of easy clicks. And to search for specific shows, all you have to do is select the Search button at the top right.
Once you’ve found a show you want to watch or listen to, all you have to do is highlight its image and click OK to start the show streaming. The process is fast, easy and accessible, just like everything else on a Toshiba’s Smart TV.
