When we unveiled the Toshiba Qosmio X870 at our recent press launch at The Grove in Hertfordshire, the cream of the UK tech press were there to give us their unbiased opinions of our latest and greatest 3D gaming laptop.

And they all seemed to love the new Qosmio just as much as we do, with some of the UK’s top computing journalists loudly singing its praises ever since. Here are just a few of the great comments it has received so far.

The laptop gurus at PC Pro were first to put the Qosmio X870 to the test and they were instantly captivated by its uniquely eye-catching looks and cutting-edge style, saying, “the Qosmio X870 [has] no trouble seizing attention.”

As they loaded up a game, they remarked, “[there’s] no doubt as to the X870’s gaming credentials” and said, “Batman: Arkham City [barrels] along at a fluid frame rate – even with the resolution pumped up to 1920 x 1080.”

The Qosmio’s audio performance also blew them away, with the reviewer pointing out, “[the] Harman Kardon speakers [and] SRS’ sound-enhancing Premium Sound 3D technology…certainly reached a decent volume….”

And when checking out the Toshiba X870’s other great features, they said, “turn to less exciting details, and the Qosmio still ticks all the boxes” and finished up by saying, “…[it] is packed to the gills with gaming-friendly specifications….”

The experts at Trusted Reviews also gave the X870 a good hands-on test and said, “…a 3D-ready screen and support for the most popular gaming components…should put it on the ‘to watch’ list of anyone looking for a games laptop.”

Again the striking new design stood out, with the reviewer noting, “[the] lid and keyboard surround are topped with aluminium and are decked-out in a dark blue” and “thanks to the aluminium finish, the body feels strong and rigid….”

But of course it was the gorgeous 3D screen that impressed the most, with them saying, “[the] Full HD 17.3-inch display…boasts a claimed 5ms response time… for better gaming” and “the screen is glossy and 3D-ready….”

And again the X870’s music features also caught their eye, with the reviewer trying the Sleep and Music functionality and saying, “You can plug [in] an MP3 player and use the [Qosmio’s] speakers even when [it’s switched] off – a neat addition.”

But it was ITProPortal that really wasted no time stating their love of the new Qosmio, saying, “Toshiba's Qosmio laptops have always focussed on entertainment and multimedia functionality, and the X870 raises the bar….”

The glorious Full HD screen quickly proved to be a favourite, with the reviewer noting, “You can make the most of [the] Full HD screen by speccing an optional Blu-ray drive, turning the [Qosmio] X870 into an HD movie player.”

And the high-powered 3D features were just as well received by the ITProPortal team, with them saying, “Your entertainment won't be limited to HD movies either, since the X870 can also provide you with 3D thrills.”

Finishing up with, “If you've been looking for a desktop replacement machine that can satisfy all your gaming and media needs, your search could well be over”, it was clear they felt this is yet another winner for our Qosmio range.

Packing all the modern gamer could need into its beautifully stylish chassis, the Qosmio X870 is the ultimate mobile gaming machine, so why not try it out today and see why it’s already winning such great acclaim wherever it goes?
